I got choked out by @ufc champion @zhangweilimma today! It was such an honor to hang out with the champ! I have been following her rise since the beginning and she has such a great story. She is not only a great fighter but is a really humble individual who clearly works hard at her craft and she is turning out to be a great actress too having recently won best newcomer award in the art house film, After Typhoon. In 2013 I was asked to meet with the Fertitta brothers, then owners of UFC, about how to grow UFC in China. I told them straight up that they need to produce a Chinese champion so that Chinese fans have someone to root for. A few years later, Wei Li appeared and began her dominance in the UFC. So proud of her and everything that she has achieved. Jia you Weili!
