Project of the Week: Quarry House is a bold yet serene retreat set in the farmlands outside #Bangalore, designed by @crest.architects to engage in quiet dialogue with its natural surroundings while pushing architectural boundaries. Built for a family of five and shaped by Vaastu principles, the home balances a compact 2,500-square-foot ground footprint with striking cantilevered volumes—including an 18-foot guest room that doubles as a carport canopy. Private balconies, overhangs, and open-plan interiors create a fluid indoor–outdoor rhythm, anchored by sculptural elements like a suspended puja room, a cantilevered metal staircase, and a waterbody that deepens the home’s meditative atmosphere. Raw stone, exposed concrete, and thoughtfully placed skylights enrich the minimalist #design, making Quarry House not just a residence, but a contemplative year-round sanctuary. 🎥: @shamanthpatilphotography #architectanddesign

Of course as an architect there are some things I would have done differently, but still the game of light and volumes is fascinating
