Tonight in Paris, Le Bal d’Été at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs raised the curtain on couture week with a fashionable evening directed by Sofia Coppola. With a star-studded guest list—including Keira Knightley, Kirsten Dunst, and Penélope Cruz—Coppola set out to make guests feel at home. “I wanted to keep the theme of a summer ball and bring the garden inside, and I approached it the same way I would a party scene in a movie,” she said. Torrential rains caused flash floods to sweep through central Texas on July 4, leaving a deadly path behind. “Everyone in the community is hurting,” said Larry Leitha, the Kerr County Sheriff in Texas Hill Country.
