Introducing the Calatrava 8 Days, Reference 5328G, a new wristwatch in the range of everyday complications with a movement that featuring instantaneous day/date displays and an eight-day power reserve. The Manufacture has developed for this purpose a new movement – manually wound 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J caliber – harmoniously combining a classic construction with a number of technical innovations and optimizations. This movement is notably distinguished by its Pulsomax® escapement with Silinvar® escape-wheel and lever, initially developed as part of the Patek Philippe Advanced Research program. The entire rim of the round white gold caseband is adorned with Patek Philippe's emblematic ‘guilloché Clous de Paris’ hobnail pattern. Lots of amazing things about this watch - from a movement perspective, visual perspective, reserve perspective. BUT to me any watch that requires pushers / any watch that has more than just time and date needs to be automatic. You shouldn’t need to worry about resetting things if you don’t wear it for two weeks. A beauty nonetheless, and the instantaneous change is a very cool addition!
