Crazy what happens when you actually dial in your training variables and follow proper periodization… Lately I’ve been playing around with slower eccentrics and isometric holds on the pendulum squat, nothing heavy, just controlled. First real push session since prep last year and somehow ended up adding 90lbs. Not mad. Moral of the story: there’s more to breaking plateaus than just “train harder.” Train smarter. And if you don’t feel like thinking about all that, check out my @stndrd training app with numerous programs efficiently adjusting variables to keep getting jacked. OR you can keep being a skinny…

People think it’s magic - it’s not. There is a SMARTER WAY to go about training and getting REAL RESULTS 😤👏🏼 we all care so much about this; training, nutrition, physique, performance. It’s time to start maximizing every ounce of effort. No more just working hard with no direction. Value your time, your effort, and your results. Set a higher STANDARD 🫶🏼

When is a pendulum squat the best modality compared to something like a smith machine or a hack squat?
