I’m excited to announce that 3 of my woodcut prints will be included in the exhibition, “Ukiyo-e In Play” at the Tokyo National Museum @tnm_ir_en from April 22 to June 15, 2025. The Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints @adachi.hanga, a printmaking studio where artisans bring traditional ukiyo-e techniques to life, presents this dynamic exhibition which features approximately 160 woodcut prints created through collaborations between 85 artists from diverse fields such as manga, design, and architecture, and Adachi’s skilled carvers and printers, spanning from the 1970s to now.
I’ve collaborated with @adachi.hanga six times over the years:
Pomegranate, 2016
Parasola, 2018
Dolly Varden, 2018-2019
The Editor - Cutaway, 2020
Chrysanthemum, 2021
Chine, 2023
