I’ve struggled with my mental health my whole life. But the one thing that’s always comforted me in times of hardship, has always been the great outdoors. Our minds are extraordinary storytellers. They are constantly weaving elaborate narratives from our imagination until we’re several layers removed from what’s actually happening. And more often than I’d like to admit, I become trapped in webs of my own making. But then I go outside, and I’m reminded that I’m just a silly little speck of dust that existed for an imperceptible amount of time... and somehow that’s the most comforting thing in the world. All my problems suddenly feel appropriately sized. The trees have been here longer than I’ve been alive and will be here long after I’m gone. The mountains don’t care about my deadlines. The sky doesn’t know about my anxiety and I am free. I’m incredibly excited and proud to be partnering with @adobe for Mental Health Awareness Month. This truly feels like a full-circle moment—as a child, I often felt alone and leaned into Adobe tools where I could feel safe in worlds that I created. Now it feels like together, we’re creating space for others to find that same sense of safety and creative refuge. This Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m learning to distinguish between what I’m thinking and what I’m experiencing. Sometimes the most radical thing we can do is step outside our own narratives. #ad #adobepartner

This API Heritage Month, I’m honoring the woman who raised me—my grandma. She left China and built a new life for us in the U.S., full of love and sacrifice.
