Last pose down of my life so I had to do the classic “jump off the stage and try not to blow out my knees and then awkwardly find my way around the crowd hitting poses” thing. P.S. Sign up for our Stndrd Elevate challenge is now live, info in my story / bio🫡 @cbumfitness

Who says open bodybuilders can’t hit classic poses🙃

Back in the gym and it feels (not) so good. After a six-week hiatus, my body is feeling tight, achy, and anything but smooth. But honestly, I’m just grateful to be moving again and lifting some weight. When I return after time off, my goal is always to ease back in with purpose: focusing on slow, controlled movements, deep range of motion, and isometric holds to keep my joints happy and protected. It’s way easier to build good habits now than to fix bad ones later. New YouTube video is live.

Here’s some advice to my younger self from my now 30 year old self: You have to jump in. Fuck the perfect start or the “how to’s”. Just start, lose your way, but find yourself. If you want it bad enough you’ll figure it out. The last 3 decades were great to me, but I have this gut feeling that “life” is really just beginning. I think your 20’s are meant to be lessons to shape you into whoever you want to become. The key word is “want” because I’ve learned that you get to choose how you show up in this world and those choices shape your reality. Jump in, show up how YOU want, and don’t think for a second you have to sacrifice your true self to accomplish your dreams.
