Did you know the Alaska Department of Fish & Game is slaughtering bears — including moms and cubs — from helicopters in a month-long killing spree? 197 brown bears have killed over the past 2 years. They shoot nearly every bear they see. No tracking. No science. Just pull the trigger. These bears are being killed just: 🟤 30 miles from Katmai National Park 🟤 3 miles from Lake Clark National Park 🟤 50 miles from the famous Brooks Falls And bears don’t know when they’ve crossed from safety into a kill zone. They roam far. They raise cubs. And they’re being wiped out. There’s no scientific evidence this helps caribou. It’s a waste of taxpayer money. And it’s ethically indefensible. A judge ruled some of these killings illegal — but Alaska kept going, killing 11 more. These could be the same bears we fly across the world to see. And they’re being erased. We need to do the same thing in Montana Idaho and Wyoming’s to the wolves. Sounds terrible but predator control is important if we want our game herds to be here in the future. Yellowstone had 25000 elk 30 years ago and now there is less than 1500. One reason wolves.. period . Man’s or our occupation of traditional habitat has already reduced these game animals to a postage stamp relative to their historic range and freedoms.. one Grizzly or wolf dies it saves 100’s or 1000’s of other animals lives exponentially through time -simple math… do you want one animal to die or a 1000?
