Pemerintah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (Pemprov NTB) segera membentuk tim penyelamatan dan evakuasi kecelakaan sebagai langkah untuk memperbaiki sistem pendakian di Gunung Rinjani. Langkah ini diambil pasca-insiden terjatuhnya pendaki asal Brazil, Juliana Marins, yang memicu perhatian Gubernur NTB, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan kesiapsiagaan di area tersebut. Dalam tahap awal, Pemprov akan melatih 12 warga asli Rinjani menjadi tim penyelamat yang akan dilatih oleh instruktur bersertifikat nasional dan internasional dari anggota FPTI. Selain membentuk tim penyelamat, Pemprov juga berkomitmen memperbaiki citra dan branding Gunung Rinjani. Selama ini, destinasi tersebut lebih dipromosikan sebagai lokasi trekking santai, bukan pendakian gunung yang membutuhkan keahlian khusus. Oleh karena itu, Upaya ini dilakukan agar pendakian di Rinjani dipahami sebagai kegiatan yang membutuhkan keterampilan, keahlian, dan kondisi fisik prima, bukan sekadar jalan-jalan santai di bukit. Pemerintah juga akan memperbanyak pemasangan rambu peringatan, tanda bahaya, serta membangun pos-pos evakuasi di jalur pendakian. Selain aspek perlindungan dan promosi, aspek keamanan teknis juga menjadi perhatian utama. Jalur pendakian di Rinjani akan dilengkapi dengan tali pengaman di titik-titik strategis dan pemasangan rambu yang jelas. Mengingat keindahan dan tingkat kesulitan jalur pendakian di gunung ini, upaya ini penting untuk memastikan keselamatan pendaki dan memudahkan tim penyelamat saat terjadi kecelakaan. Semua langkah ini menunjukkan komitmen Pemerintah NTB untuk terus memperbaiki sistem dan keselamatan pendakian di Gunung Rinjani. Beberapa waktu yang lalu ramai soal lokasi lahan perkemahan di sejumlah Gunung Gede Pangrango yang diduga dikuasai oleh pihak tertentu. Banyak pendaki mengeluhkan hal tersebut. Terkait hal ini, Menteri Kehutanan (Menhut), Raja Juli Antoni, mengaku belum mengetahui kasus tersebut. Namun, ia berjanji akan memperbaikinya. “Makasih masukannya. Semua gunung kita perbaiki,” ucapnya saat ditemui di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat pada Rabu (2/7). “Kalau ada data, ada fakta, saya akan usut. Saya akan tuntas ya. Termasuk, saya tidak segan-segan akan memecat pihak-pihak terkait,” tambahnya. Soal ini, belum jelas siapa pihak bertanggung jawab. Just got back about 10 rolls of film scans and it feels like they’re burning in my hands so I thought I’d share one… The funny thing about this image is the fact that we had just crossed the Vatnajökull Glacier - and I swear we got considerably worse weather on this little 2-day micro mission to Þórsmörk (Thor’s) Valley. It was the perfect Icelandic gamut of weather conditions - with a little good fortune when @ferdafelagutivist opened a mountain hut early for us to stay the night. For those of you who know riding in Iceland - River crossing is a pretty core, iconic moment because it’s inevitable & genuinely results in numb pedaling on frozen blocks of ice that were once your feet. Anyway… I’m passionate about shooting B&W film in Iceland, it feels like they’re made for each other and I have a bunch more to share soon. Luck Be A Coney Tonight 📽 by @vitomaynez06 The crazy thing about this video is that there are people out there who try to capture something like this for years, only to come up short. You can count me as one of those people. This lucky guy points his camera at the window to record the bun and boom - instantly joins an elite group. To me this looks like a juvenile red-tail, but I’ve been wrong about IDs before (about 8 million times) so the other possibility is a red shouldered hawk. Besides some differences in habitat and minor differences in diet, they hunt the same things, although a red tail is more likely to go for something big like a rabbit, which is why I leaned that way. That said, hunting rabbits is not a regular occurrence for either of them, both species hunt smaller prey, and stack calories that way.
