8 years ago - I remember the Sony Alpha A7RIII at the forefront of camera technology just about to hit the market. 42.4 Megapixel sensor, 10 fps, ISO 32000 all while keeping a low profile lightweight for use in the backcountry… I was chomping at the bit to blast 100,000 images through this machine and see what it could do.
Part of my job as an Artisan for @sonyalpha is to test new equipment and push it to the limit while creating a special set of images to showcase what the cameras are capable of… so in 2017 right before release, they sent me a one and I jetted out to the Southwest and let loose to create something special. I always try to test different facets of photography… high speed action, low light, long exposures, etc.. I shot this 30 second exposure of Delicate Arch and remembered being excited at the clean & colorful result.. it’s amazing to see how far camera technology has come.
