Tucker the dog, with his golden coat bright, Had a day filled with nothing, from morning to night. He lay on the rug, then sprawled on the floor, Staring at nothing, not moving, no more. He didn't chase balls or run after a stick, He didn’t do much, didn’t jump or do tricks. He didn't bark loudly or jump in the air, He simply sat still, without a care. Oh, Tucker, dear Tucker, so tired, so beat, From lounging and napping, his favorite feat. His tail gave a wag, just one tiny twitch, But the rest of him stayed in that comfy old pitch. His eyes were half closed, his paws all a-rest, He’d done absolutely nothing, and he’d done it the best! No playtime, no fetch, no fun in the sun, He’d spent the whole day doing... absolutely none! Now Tucker was tired, but oh, what a joy, Doing nothing all day was his favorite ploy. So he curled up in a ball, a big sleepy mess, And dreamt of more nothing in peaceful excess.
