At the historic @goldhouseco Gold Gala held in LA,
Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, President of The Pokémon Company, received the Legend Award,
and to my surprise, I was chosen to present the award!
As a representative of Japan, I gave it my all.
As someone who’s loved Pokémon since elementary school, it was such an incredible honor.
Getting to meet Mr. Ishihara and giving a full speech in English were both truly unforgettable experiences.
Congratulations on the 30th anniversary of Pokémon!
It meant so much to be able to speak about something that continues to be loved around the world.
During my speech, I even performed part of “Pokémon Ierukana?,” the rap that was a huge hit in Japan back in 1997.
Maybe my fourth-grade self memorized it with everything she had for this very moment?
I never imagined I’d be performing it as an adult (completely my idea—no one asked me to do it😂).
And of course, my nails were hand-painted Pokémon by the amazing @nailsbymei
Everyone I met at the venue was SO excited🫶

LAで行われた歴史ある @goldhouseco の授賞式で、ポケモン社社長の石原さんがレジェンド賞を受賞したということでまさかの私そのプレゼンターとして選ばれスピーチさせて頂きました！！！！！！
日本代表全身全霊でご紹介させて頂きました！
小学生の時からポケモン大好き人間としてなんとも光栄な事です。石原さんにお会いできた事、そして全編英語でのスピーチなど(大事故発生)沢山貴重な経験をさせて頂きました！！

世界中から愛され続けるポケモンのスピーチができて本当に光栄です！
授賞式には沢山の人人人人人人で、人見知りなおちゃんこ鍋動揺したけど、意外と沢山のお知り合いの方々とも再会して(写真撮れなかった方も)緊張が解けて楽しく過ごせました😂

(それが事故じゃないです。笑)
この日のために小4の時死ぬほど覚えたのかな、大人になって披露する日が来るとは思わなかった(自分の選択誰も頼んでない)
