I don’t know what they should do but I do know it’s very hard to navigate the space when sitting next to someone quite overweight. The thing that has helped was to just try to be friendly with the person and have empathy. Not easy for them either.

It’s not just about weight. If someone takes up more than 1 seat, for any reason (which can also include body builders with huge shoulders/arms for example), then the person next to them is denied their full seat. If taller people need top more to accommodate their bodies, why wouldn’t wider people?

Yes because other passengers that sit next to them, shouldn’t have to pay the consequences of being super uncomfortable and not have any space to yourself because they’re all up in your seat as well!

This is hard. I think planes should have to change their layout. Because even really tall/large people that are not overweight are inconvenienced. The planes are so uncomfortable too. They should have to make them more spacious like buses.

If the airline throws a fit for my luggage being 3 grams ovet the limit then they sure can charge extra for other types of overweight

I’ve sat next to a very overweight person and they were spilling into my seat so I didn’t get my space that I paid for, how is that fair for someone in my situation? If people can’t fit in one seat, they should purchase a 2nd seat
