I did!!!!! With my hubbie and my sister. We were on vacation at Mazatlan Mexico. It was one of the most beautiful and extraordinary experiences of my life.

My friends and I actually witnessed the mother coming in from the ocean onto the beach, digging the huge hole and then laying her eggs. Afterwards, she covered the eggs with the sand and went back into the water.

I happened across the same in Jupiter Island, Florida during a walk. It was so beautiful to see. Also saw a Momma laying eggs. Dig the hole, lay the eggs, cover and move back to the ocean. Used to have an apartment down there and saw both the same season. It was amazing.

Man I’ve waited under the moonlight in Mexico for the moms to come up, dig and lay eggs then return to the ocean. Also seen the baby’s make their way to the ocean but have never seen them hatch and emerge from the sand. So damn cool! These guys have to worry about birds, raccoons eating eggs and bigger fish. So the ones that do make to adulthood have really been through hell and back.
