Yet even some Russians think our republics aren’t part of Russia 🤦‍♂️ I’m Buryat-Mongol (or also buryat same same but different) - we live near Lake Baikal (the DEEPEST lake on Earth!) with our own language, Buddhist temples,Shamanistic traditions and centuries of history. Having traveled across 26 countries and now living abroad, I’ve realized there’s a HUGE gap in understanding about Asian Russians. Whether I’m in Europe or asia - the surprised reactions are always the same. This global experience inspired me to start sharing our stories! 🌏 Buryats, Tuvans, Yakuts, Kalmyks and many more - we’re all Asian Russians with rich cultures that deserve recognition!
