Abstract scenes from the last month around home 🇮🇸
The landscape of Iceland is constantly evolving. With each and every mission back to these locations, I almost always find something new to photograph. Whether it’s finding a small change in colour or texture, or an entirely new perspective of the glaciers, it has become an obsession to revisit these places.
It is however not only the pursuit of photography that draws me back. The remoteness paired with a slight intimidation of nature’s power makes for a very unique atmosphere to experience. The glaciers, the valleys, the rivers and mountains, each one has its own challenges and dangers. After a decade of building a deeper understanding of Icelandic nature, the culmination of so much time in the mountains has led to a feeling of calmness in these locations that I rarely feel elsewhere, a true gift from nature.
