A healthy immune system defends the body against disease and infection. But for one in 10 people—mostly women—the immune system malfunctions and attacks its own cells, causing more than 80 types of autoimmune diseases. Hormones were thought to explain why women were more prone to autoimmune diseases. But that may not be the only reason. Because autoimmune diseases come from emotional turmoil and to be more specific- suppressed emotions. If you're a woman, you know exactly what that is

Wow, it’s so interesting (and honestly shocking) to learn that women have a much higher risk of developing autoimmune diseases and that there are so many different types! 😳 I wonder what could be done to prevent or at least delay them. Definitely something more people should be talking about
