Show us your best landscape series to win a Sony ZV-E10, a lifetime license to Peakto by @cyme.io, and more! Present your entry for our #PeaktoContest — link in bio! And discover below five strategies by @vengio to grow as a creative and push your business further! / “Having spent my entire life on an island, creating diverse photography has been challenging. However, my objective has always been to show the public what my home has to offer. And indeed, it is quite a lot! In this regard, I collaborated with a friend to offer a distinctive experience on the island, allowing visitors to preserve their cherished moments. While it may seem mundane, it is meaningful to me when someone places their trust in me to capture their memories in pictures, particularly those formed on my home island. I take immense pride in this. 1) As my hobby grew into a passion, it led me to travel widely and connect with countless creators. Some of those connections turned into friendships that went far beyond photography. It’s remarkable how art can bring people together across cultures, languages, and borders. Even when we had nothing else in common, we shared a drive to keep learning and inspiring one another, and that’s been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. That’s why I truly believe in spending more time with the creative community. Together, we can spark incredible projects. 2) In this sense, I highly recommend being intentional with your time. To boost both productivity and creativity, I started setting clear priorities and creating a schedule around my goals. It sounds simple, but it’s surprisingly hard to stick to. 3) The key is to break your goals into small, achievable steps. When your objectives are clear, it’s much easier to stay focused and make real progress. Structuring your day—even loosely—can make all the difference. 4) Avoid multitasking - it often lowers productivity and adds unnecessary stress. Focusing on one task at a time helps you stay more present and efficient. 5) Lastly, when it comes to clients or business collaborations, patience is key. Building trust and alignment takes time, clear communication, and mutual understanding.” 📸

Four principles to capture the vastness of grand landscapes in your photos! With @joshua.mallett - Winner Best of the Week 38 at #nomadict 2024 / “I captured my winning photo (pic. 1) just a few hours after arriving in Pokhara. The bus pulled in much earlier than expected, around 3:30 am, so I had some time before I could check into my hostel. I spent those early hours by Phewa Lake, watching the sunrise in solitude. Though the sunrise was stunning and peaceful, exhaustion soon set in, and I made my way to the hostel. Still too early to check in, they invited me to chill on the rooftop, where the incredible mountain views left me in awe. 1) I used my telephoto lens to capture the mountains as the morning light played on them. I spotted a watchtower perfectly aligned with Machapuchare (‘Fishtail Mountain’) in the background, creating an irresistible scene. The telephoto lens allowed me to frame the foreground against the background, expanding composition possibilities.  2) In this shot, I noticed the watchtower and the peak of Fishtail Mountain, so I moved around until I positioned the peak perfectly in the center. In post-production, I applied the rule of thirds to crop the image, leaving enough negative space above the mountains to balance with the fog below, giving the image a sense of openness and depth. 3) I chose blue as the dominant color. I thought it would match the overall calmness of the image, and I enhanced it through split toning while desaturating most other colors. This step helped me bring out the natural hues, create a cohesive look,  and convey the scale and atmosphere of the landscape, making it feel even more expansive and unified. 4) In addition, masking also plays a crucial role in conveying the vastness of a landscape. This technique allows me to shape my vision by selectively brightening or darkening areas, guiding the eye for added emphasis. It enhances my subjects while reducing distractions.” You can read the original article with @joshua.mallett by visiting the link in our bio!
