Magnum
The show is about to begin. And what is a show without the audience? In this selection from Spectacle, Magnum photographers document the ritual of looking and become the spectators themselves. "I love you to death" is written on a seat in the abandoned Versailles Theater in Beirut, Lebanon, captured by @myriamboulos in 2013. When he was only 19, @thomashoepker took thousands of photographs in Italy. Rediscovered in his archive, Hoepker's 1956 image of a group of curious boys peering into a cinema was published in his 2023 book, Italia. Fans reach out to catch a football at a 49ers game in @elireedmagnum’s photograph, taken in San Francisco in the 1980s. 🔗 The Square Print Sale ends on Sunday, April 27.
