Three of a Perfect Pair 📽 by @sean_isnt_rich Sometimes, something as innocent as trying to get a photo of some cute wood ducklings can have dire consequences. To be fair, being without their mother wasn’t doing these little ones any favors either, they might not have been here at all if she weren’t MIA. From the perspective of the hawk, who will be entering the frame momentarily, she couldn't be happier. Without having to deal with the mother duck, she is free to take her pick of this deserted litter of young ducks. As you can see from the slomo, she tried to get two in one go, but instead settled for one. Keep this in mind: the raptor taking advantage of the situation also has young to feed, so while it might be hard to watch a life end so quickly, this is a feature of the natural system, not a bug. Summer is here! That means summer photography incoming! I love this time of year when the fields are turning from green to yellow, when flowers are blooming and I’m not freezing my butt off when out photographing! 😂 As with as kinds of landscape photography it’s all about knowing how to use the light optimally. There is an increased chance of seeing the northern lights the next hours - if it gets dark enough at your location. We reached KP8 a few hours ago. Here is a collection of aurora photos from Iceland. Sadly it’s too bright in Iceland to see the auroras at this time of year. “I’m against gay sex because it isn’t part of nature.” “It’s not natural”… I guess these 60,000 pound gray whales are out here rubbing their slinky sea snakes all over each other for the camera just to make a buck selling it on OnlyFins™️…Certainly couldn’t be a totally normal thing that’s part of nature right!? Jokes aside, homosexual behavior is a well-documented and natural part of the animal kingdom. Scientists have observed same-sex pairings, courtship, mating, and long-term bonds in over 1,500 species, including whales, dolphins, penguins, bonobos, giraffes, and lions. These behaviors aren’t just random, rather they often serve social, emotional, and even survival-related purposes within species. In the case of these Gray Whales, same-sex interactions are particularly common. Male gray whales have been seen engaging in mutual sexual behaviors that appear to strengthen social bonds or perhaps establish dominance. They also seem to just be doing it…for fun. In other words: homosexuality isn’t just natural, it’s a very real part of daily life in the ocean. Happy Pride Month! 🐋🌈

Sob, kalo lagi cari jalur pendakian Gunung Merbabu yang penuh cerita dan tantangan, jalur Thekelan wajib banget masuk list kamu! Jalur ini tuh legend—udah dikenal sejak tahun 80-an dan jadi spot nostalgia favorit para pendaki lama. Jalur ini letaknya di Kabupaten Semarang, panjangnya sekitar 6 km. Meski agak jauh, pemandangan yang disuguhin super keren, apalagi di beberapa spot ada sumber air kayak di Geger Sapi, jadi nggak usah khawatir kehabisan stok. Yang bikin makin asik, lewat jalur Thekelan ini kamu cuma bisa sampaiin tujuh puncak Gunung Merbabu, mulai dari Watu Gubug, Pemancar, Geger Sapi, Puncak Syarif, Ondorante, Kenteng Songo, sampai Triangulasi. Mantap banget kan sob? Tapi, nggak bisa dipungkiri, ada trek yang cukup ekstrem, apalagi waktu mau ke Ondorante lewat tebing curam. Tapi jangan takut, semua perjuangan bakal terbayar sama pemandangan epic dan aura mistis dari puncak-puncaknya, apalagi Puncak Syarif yang punya cerita sejarah sendiri. Selain itu, jalur ini juga habitatnya berbagai satwa liar kayak kijang, elang Merbabu, sama lutung budeg yang katanya mirip manusia. Tapi tenang aja, mereka jarang muncul kalau lingkungan nggak terganggu, kayak kebakaran hutan. Pokoknya, kalau kamu mau pengalaman petualangan lengkap mulai dari cerita sejarah, keindahan alam, sampai tantangan fisik, jalur ini wajib kamu coba!
