These forest guardians share 97% of our DNA, yet they face an existential threat from deforestation and illegal palm oil plantations. 🌿🦧 I’ve watched mothers cradle their infants through the canopy, listened to their distant calls at dusk, and felt the weight of responsibility to protect this precious ecosystem. Here’s how you can help #SaveOrangutans: 1️⃣ Spread awareness and support ecotourism 2️⃣ Choose Wisely: Look for “100% RSPO‑certified” or no palm oil labels in your groceries - many products like Oreo cookies or Nutella contain a lot of palm oil!
