【 Mini Exhibition by Jeremy Cheung 】 《燈塔偷了換日線》 小型個展 “sewing days under the lighthouses” at LUMOS Mini Gallery, Lumenvisum 光影作坊 @lumenvisum // 在度日與渡海之間,交織維港與巨塔的十年點線面印象 // — 張俊謙 Jeremy Cheung @rambler15 = = = ( English info in comment section ) 在光影與時間的流轉之間,城市的面貌悄然更迭。 = = = 《燈塔偷了換日線》 “sewing days under the lighthouses“ 日期|Date: 2025.4.26 - 5.25 (except 5.2-4) 時間|Time: 1100-1800 (逢星期一休息 假期除外|Closed on Mondays except holiday) 地點|Venue: 光影作坊|Lumenvisum, JCCAC, L2-02 藝術家分享會|Artist Sharing: TBC (in May) = = = Artist bio: Jeremy Cheung, Hong Kong based freelance photographer and artist. (English info 1 of 2) Between light and shadow, as well as the flow of time, the appearance of the city quietly changes. When IG Pier faded into history and the East Coast Park gradually emerged as a new landmark, it was only then that we occasionally realized how silently time slips by. The city’s architecture layers upon itself, like a protective shell. Over the past decade, Hong Kong’s skyline may not have changed drastically, but through the intertwining of countless urban events and moments of daily life, landscapes and people together compose chapters of Hong Kong that are both public and personal—all of which are captured and frozen in time by the shutter. The skyline of Hong Kong is inseparable from the IFC and ICC, the twin skyscrapers. Standing on opposite shores of Victoria Harbour, they resemble two beacons — symbols of the city’s identity, and embodiments of certain mainstream values and spirit. The artist, Jeremy Cheung, has a habit: for the past ten years, whenever he shares a photo featuring IFC or ICC on Instagram — whether as the protagonist or in the background — he always adds a custom hashtag for archiving. This small exhibition serves as an opportunity to reorganize these images while reflecting on the past and present of the city, extracting fragments to retell the story.

(English info 2 of 2) For Cheung, urban photography is a journey between documentation and creation —sometimes fruitful, sometimes just an empty walk, but always deepening his connection to and understanding of place. "Time" and "Place" are often the main themes of his work. After exhibitions like "Lost in Yamanote" (2025) and "SplitSecondCity" (2020), he continues to extend his observations of the Hong Kong landscape: on a 2.5x2.5 meter wall, he attempts to weave together timelines and locales, using a collage format to connect fragmented visual memories gathered across Victoria Harbour over the past decade. In the city of towering giants with unpredictable weather, the ebb and flow of people is routine, farewells and reunions are inevitable, yet the landscape is not predetermined. Is it that life steals away our days, or do our memories become lighter over time? Among the intertwining images and stories, may everyone find their own answers.
