Coming Right Up 📽 by @wallace_untamed This green anaconda killed an ate a local dog, which it promptly refunds at the first sign of danger The primary objective of regurgitation is to increase mobility and escape potential peril. When an anaconda consumes a large meal, its body becomes heavy and sluggish, as digestion demands significant energy and can take days or even weeks. This 5-meter green anaconda, which can weigh up to 200 pounds, may struggle to move quickly after swallowing a sizable animal, making it vulnerable to threats. Regurgitation allows the snake to shed the weight of the prey, enabling faster movement to flee or hide. For example, studies show anacondas can stay submerged for up to 10 minutes, but a full stomach hinders their ability to dive or swim effectively. This behavior, while energetically costly, is a survival tactic, as the snake prioritizes escape over keeping their food down. Regurgitation can also occur due to stress or improper conditions, like extreme heat, which disrupts digestion, but in this case, it’s likely a strategic move to evade a perceived threat, such as the person filming. Thanks to @wallace_untamed and team, this anaconda was relocated somewhere far away from this city, much to the joy of the local canine population - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nature Is Metal is powered by you! Dog lost its life in vain and snake probably will suffer dire consequences from stress, sometimes puking up a massive meal like this can severally hurt their digestive system, causing tears and all

Video by @michaelgeorge | How many oblivious penguins will step on your camera if you leave it on the ground? The answer is … a lot. South Georgia island has no permanent human residents and is primarily a haven for wildlife. It’s one of the places where you find wonder (and humor) in nature. Just make sure to disinfect your camera before and after your visit.

Over more than a decade, a total of 15 feet washed ashore along the Salish Sea. This type of mystery, it turns out, requires scientific, rather than criminal investigation. The unsettling discoveries in the area around Vancouver Island prompted talk of serial killers, aliens, and psychics. But the truth is even more unexpected. Find out more at the link in bio. Great white sharks have been known to swim near Maine’s coast, but recent efforts by Nat Geo Explorer and photographer @brianskerry have led to the capture of what he thinks is the first underwater image of one in the area. The photograph shows a nearly 10-foot-long great white, a suspected juvenile, and offers a rare glimpse into the marine life that inhabits the Gulf of Maine, where populations of great whites are increasing. Learn more about the sighting and what it tells us about their changing geographic range at the link in bio. Photograph by @brianskerry

The roadside scenery on the ive field parkway is second to none. It’s hard to drive on the road simply because the environment is so distracting. 🇮🇹🛵🍇🌻 Road tripping through Tuscany was such a dream! Every town we visited had so much charm and beauty, with Montepulciano probably being my favorite. We also spent time in the Arezzo countryside (first picture), which was gorgeous! I would 100% go back to Tuscany and explore more. Where should I put on my bucket list? #tuscanyguide #italytravel | where to visit in Tuscany, Tuscany itinerary, Italy travel guide, Italy itinerary, best towns in Tuscany, Tuscany road trip
