With @nolwennpernin / “I captured the first image of this series along the Silk Road while we were driving from Naryn to Kel Suu. We stopped when we saw this breathtaking scene with the At-Bashy mountains in the background. Their jagged rock faces and sparse vegetation give the area a raw, untamed beauty. While editing, I focused on giving the images a soft, earthy look to enhance the colors and keep them as natural as possible. Below is a breakdown of the two dominant palettes I used for this area, along with an explanation of the colors, which I hope will inspire you: 1) The first image of this series uses a mix of soft neutrals and deep earthy tones, creating a balance between light and dark elements: d0cec7: A Light grayish beige with a soft, neutral shade. 312d15: A dark olive-brown that brings a sense of depth and richness. f3efeb: A light cream that complements the darker shades well. 8d8e7d: A muted olive gray providing subtle contrast without being too bold. 686648: An earthy olive green evoking nature and greenery. 2) On the other hand, the second image of this series incorporates warmer beiges and cool grays, providing a softer, more refined balance between warmth and coolness: f6f6f6: A very light gray/off-white that brings a sense of cleanliness, openness, and lightness. a3895a: A warm beige/tan with golden undertones. 7b653a: A muted brown/olive-toned brown, giving the palette a grounded and rustic quality. 6a5d52: A cool grayish brown with hints of gray, adding a subtle, neutral element. b3b7bb: A soft gray that adds a modern and soothing feel.
