𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜 Eight years ago, right after my father passed away and we buried him, I was in a state of confusion and sorrow. I was in London on a sunny day, but the light that filtered through the city’s ironwork couldn’t reach my soul. I remember that I couldn’t find any photographs from that time, nothing that would remind me of him in a tangible way. The pain had wholly consumed me, and the world seemed to move forward, oblivious to everything I had lost. I went out to take photos, perhaps because photography had often offered me an escape. It allowed me to focus on something unrelated to what was happening inside me. I was there, but my mind was elsewhere. But then, I noticed a different light, a unique atmosphere that seemed to come from another world. It was a moment that took my breath away, a blend of the bright sunlight and the shadows dancing on the London pavement. That moment reminded me that not everything is lost, even though life moves on. I grabbed my camera and pressed the shutter. That photograph became Apocalyptic – a tribute to my father and a symbol of transformation. The name came not from a conscious choice but from a deep sense of revelation. It was a photograph that symbolised the end of an era for me and the beginning of another chapter. I allowed myself to meditate on that image, letting it carry me through my thoughts, bringing me peace amid the inner chaos.
